Kelly Chamberlain, lead Thermal Performance Assessor at EcoClimate, has been conducting house energy ratings since 2004. Kelly has extensive knowledge of the energy rating software and of the continually evolving National Construction Code (NCC) regulations for new builds and renovations/extensions. You can be assured your energy rating will meet current requirements.
Kelly also has vast experience undertaking NatHERS energy ratings on sustainable house designs and passive house designs where we can achieve energy ratings far greater than the minimum 6 star requirement.
In 2019 Kelly undertook the energy rating on a passive house which achieved 8 stars. The house has won the Master Builders Victoria award for best Sustainable Home in 2020. The house was featured in the Spring 2021 issue of Sanctuary Magazine.
EcoClimate believes it is important to involve the Thermal Performance Assessor at the early design stage to achieve an energy efficient house. Taking the energy rating requirement as merely part of the mandatory building process that only occurs down the track can often lead to poor results.
Kelly is also a qualified Building Biologist. Building Biologists assess hazards in the home that may be caused by building materials/products, water, air quality, biological contaminants, electromagnetic fields and geopathic stress. Kelly can also provide advice and recommendations on how to create a healthier home.
Kelly is very passionate about helping builders, designers and home owners create energy efficient and healthy homes.
